Bella brano translates to beautiful song in Italian. I can’t think of a more perfect way to describe a gondolier on the canals of Venice. Some sing a song from their mouths, others create a melody with their oar against the waves with each rhythmic stroke take riders deeper into the melody that is the city of water. Each song whether sung or rowed is deep with meaning, plunging almost as deep as the canals themselves. So yes, a beautiful song is sung with each gondolier you see and if you listen closely, you can be carried away into the harmony yourself.
