In Ireland you would be surprised by the amount of greetings you get; especially when they know you are from out of town. It doesn’t seem to matter to them; you are an Irishman for that moment. So long as you have a smile (and a pint doesn’t hurt) and a friendly greeting, you are set. This fact is probably one of biggest reasons why Ireland holds a special place in my heart; my homeland. And on this morning, even the sun and the sky and the placid lake seemed to greet me and the day ahead with that ever-friendly phrase; top of the morning to you.
