In Venice, every moment counts. Whether you spend those moments in a café, meandering along the streets, or kneeling in front of the alter in St. Mark’s cathedral. On this particular morning, I spent mine on a dock overlooking the Grand Canal. As the clouds began their entry into my line of sight, the cupola of the Church of the Salute looked as though it touched the clouds that were being set on fire by the ascending sun behind them. In that moment a memory was made, one that would be forever remembered as the dawn of Venezia.
