What a beautiful thing paper is. It can be so many different things; a note, a book, a photograph, a journal; and yet it sometimes gets forgotten in this digital age. I have always loved the tangibility of paper. Being able to physically turn the page of a good book or jot down notes in a journal will never be lost on me and is something I hope to pass on to my children as they grow up in a world where the physical becomes the digital. I think that is why places like this store in Florence speak to me so much. It is all about the touch and feel of paper, journals, and cards and the beauty that they can hold with words and images. The old soul in me prays that places like this continue to stand the test of time just as the written word has for years past and hopefully, for years to come.
