Timing is everything! I use this Mantra quite often to describe what I do. This held true on a Sunday morning in Greve in Chianti. I was hesitant to bring my camera to the market square that day for the fear of there being too many people to get a shot. However, I decided to take it anyway because, after all, you never know . . . My instincts proved right when shortly after we arrived, I spied a lady’s pink bicycle outside a local flower shop. As I was setting up to take the shot, a customer emerged and went to get on her bike and ride away! I begged “no, no, no” and motioned to her that I wanted to take a photograph and she politely moved to the side until I was finished shooting.
