Italy

The region of Montalcino, Italy is known for its famous Brunello wine. Wineries are scattered amongst the hills beckoning you with lush vineyards and a glass of their finest Brunello. Upon visiting this area, one winery in particular caught my eye. As I opened the gates, my eyes were captured by a stone wall engulfed in color. I traced the vines along the wall and admired the brilliance of reds and greens that were the leaves. The weathered stone staircase rose steadily upward, making me wonder how many had ascended them before me.
