In a little glen near Montalcino, the church St. Antimo stands gracefully among equally artful wild flowers, cypress trees, and olive trees. Inside this beautiful church, light streams through arching windows as it has for more than 900 years. The abbey that was once its neighbor and it’s elder by more than 300 years, has vanished save for its foundation. Yet sunlight seems to have taken up permanent residence in the church, warming the coolest of stone, illuminating the mosaic of marble on floors and walls, and bending to the ancient carving of sturdy columns - gently touching all, like Grace itself.
